Learning & Access Curator (Temporary)
Location: Gallery of Modern Art, Royal Exchange Square, Glasgow G1 3AH

This post is an exciting opportunity based at the Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA) – Scotland’s most visited modern art gallery. As Learning & Access Curator you will develop and implement audience development, community engagement and learning opportunities including through interpretation, learning programmes, events, volunteer placements, partnership work and audience research and advocacy. We are keen to hear from candidates with experience of developing interpretation and public programmes for a range of audiences, and of participatory approaches to audience, display and programme development. You will play a key role in supporting and informing the planning and delivery of our displays, services and programmes. Though you will be based in one or two museum venues, you will be involved in a range of projects across different venues.   

To be successful in this role you have the following skills and experience:
• Demonstrated knowledge of lifelong learning practices
• Demonstrated experience of developing, delivering and evaluating public programmes for diverse audiences within a culture, art, heritage or community setting
• Demonstrated knowledge of best practice in interpretation within museum, gallery or heritage context
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with a variety of partners, groups and organisations

This role is temporary for up to 12 months.
