Job Title: Activity Plan Co-ordinator
Reporting to: Museum Director (and then Community Curator once appointed)
Responsible for: Volunteers, Placements
Working with: Museum Director, Communications Officer, Volunteers, Placements, Learning and Outreach Officer, Volunteer Co-ordinator, Community Curator, Finance Officer
Working days/hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. 35 hour week. Occasional weekend and evening working
Salary: c £22,000 per annum.
Activity Plan Co-ordinator for the Salisbury Museum for Future Generations Project supported by the Heritage Fund.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Working with colleagues, the post-holder will undertake a range of activities commensurate with the grading and responsibility of the post, which will include the following:
1. Attend Project Board meetings and lead working group developing Activity Plan. Liaise and work closely with the Activity Plan Consultant.
2. Undertake desktop based research exercise on existing museum audiences.
3. Assist with the consultation process with potential project partners to inform the development of the plan.
4. Assist with the development of community advisory panels to help shape the content of the plan.
5. Map out existing community links and groups, stakeholders and organisations where there are opportunities to develop relationships.
6. Identify the subjects and topics formal and informal learning audiences will be interested in learning about.
7. Develop a baseline of existing community engagement by the museum.
8. Carry out a training needs analysis and skills audit of staff and produce a training plan.
9. Assist with the development and delivery of a consultation programme for new activities.
10. Assist with the development of an action plan for the Activity Plan in conjunction with staff, volunteers, partners and audiences.
11. Collate statistics and visitor data relating to the performance of the project.
12. Establish and undertake evaluation during the development phase of the project. Compile findings into an evaluation report to be submitted with Round 2 bid.
13. Assist with the development of an evaluation plan for the delivery phase of the project.
14. Assist with the development of a learning plan for the project.
15. Assist with writing the final Activity Plan, including the development of formal and informal learning objectives.
16. Assist with the preparation of monitoring reports for the Heritage Fund.
17. To comply with all decisions, policies and standing orders of the museum and any relevant statutory requirements, including the Equality Act, the Health and Safety at Work Act and Data Protection Act.
18. To assist generally with the public service of the museum, including answering enquiries from members of the public.
19. To participate in training and development as may be required from time to time commensurate with the level of the post.
20. To undertake other such analogous duties as may be allocated by the Director or his representative.

Graduate level or equivalent. E
Higher level museum/heritage qualification. D
