Job Description:
The post is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the fundraising programmes for the Capital Campaign in support of Aberdeen Art Gallery. The post holder will also devise and manage the programmes to generate continuing philanthropic revenue to support the work of the Art Gallery and Cowdray Hall on completion of the Capital Campaign.

The post holder will be expected to:

• Support the major gifts campaign, providing research, briefings, organizing meetings and events;
• Set-up and manage the donor database, including systems to monitor potential donors and track existing donors, friends and patrons; continue to run the fundraising infrastructure and database in the post Campaign phase
• Work with the Friends of Aberdeen Art Gallery and Museums in support of the fundraising campaign and with a view to increasing their numbers;
• Assist in developing, launching and running a new patrons programme and ensure ongoing major donor support and recognition;
• Manage the campaign events and communications, including social media, publications and campaign materials, with colleagues;
• Process gifts to the campaign, ensuring that donors are properly thanked, detailed records kept, gift aid managed and financial regulations and monitoring complied with;
• Create a sponsorship programme to provide ongoing support for the exhibitions, displays, concerts and education activities;
• Make applications to Trusts and Foundations to support the work of Aberdeen Art Gallery & Museums.
Required Skills:
The post holder needs to be able to demonstrate:

• Some fundraising experience or similar experience in a marketing or sales context, but looking to build a career in fundraising;
• Experience of effective project management with excellent organisational and administrative skills;
• Experience of organizing successful events and management of the logistics to ensure high quality
• An interest in visual arts, music and heritage
