Part time - Weekend Retail Assistant - (REF: CIG3.13)
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: 10 hours per week (Saturday and Sunday only) - 11am till 4pm
Salary: National Minimum Wage
We are the Horniman Museum and Gardens, an inspiring, surprising, family-friendly, free attraction in South London’s Forest Hill. We’ve been open since Victorian times, when Frederick John Horniman first opened his house and extraordinary collection of objects to visitors. Since then, our collection has grown tenfold and includes internationally important collections of anthropology and musical instruments, as well as an acclaimed aquarium and natural history collection.

An opportunity has arisen for a “Weekend Retail Assistant” within our Museum Gift Shop. We are looking for candidates’ with previous retail experience along with a passion for the retail sector and excellence in customer service.
You will work within our gift shop, ensuring a consistently high standard of customer service is delivered to all our visitors. You will be expected to contribute to achieving our sales targets by ensuring that visitors are encouraged to purchase through proactive selling and excellent visual merchandising. |

Availability to work some additional hours during peak times and holiday/staff absence will be required. A basic DBS disclosure (security check) is required for this post.
