Job Description:
The Science Museum Group (SMG), comprising of the London Science Museum, the National Railway Museum in York, National Media Museum in Bradford and the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester is world renowned for its historic collections, awe-inspiring galleries and inspirational exhibitions to millions of visitors each year.

We are looking to attract an extremely customer focused, enthusiastic, forward thinking, and self-motivated individual to fill the vacancy of ICT Senior Service Desk Analyst (c £19,000) as the team leader to continue our development and take our Service Desk to the next level of performance and quality.

The ICT Service Desk handles over 1,000 calls for our services per month. These cover a wide range of faults and requests across a horizon of technology and services for over 1,200 staff and volunteers. This is backed by second and third line support teams, and third party support agencies to provide operational support to our diverse customer base.

You will need to be able to work from one of our northern museums; York, Bradford or Manchester, and be technically proficient across a wide range of typical first line duties. You should be detail-conscious with excellent communication and listening skills in order to meet customer service expectations within agreed service levels. We imagine that you will have operated within an ITIL environment and even have some experience of Incident Management, possibly holding appropriate certification within the Service Desk function.
