Plymouth City Council is embarking on a £32 million capital redevelopment project that will transform its museum and art gallery into a major cultural destination for Plymouth and the Southwest peninsula.  And we are looking for the right candidates to join us on this journey.

In particular we are looking for a contemporary art curator who will lead the development and delivery of high quality contemporary art commissions in response to the city’s historic collections, histories and the new architectural spaces. You will have a good knowledge of current practice in the contemporary art work, and have a knowledge of and enthusiasm for community engagement with contemporary art and museum collections. You will also have demonstrable experience of working with artists and collections in a museum or gallery environment.
