Job Title:     Learning Volunteer Engagement Manager
Organisation:     Natural History Museum
Type:     Full-Time Position
Location:     London, England
Closing Date:     Friday, March 31st, 2017
Job Ref No:     BC/NHM/LVEM
Job Description:
The Natural History Museum is a world-class visitor attraction internationally recognised for its dual role as a centre of excellence in scientific research and as a leader in public engagement through its natural history collections, themed exhibitions, volunteering programmes and scientific publications.

The Museum’s purpose is to challenge the way people think about the natural world, its past, present and future. We aim to stimulate public debate about humanity's future and equip our audiences at every level with an understanding of science. Our Exhibitions, Learning and Outreach department forms a significant part of the Museums public engagement work and aims to be a world leader in the provision of inspiring and transformative face to face formal and informal learning experiences.

The Natural History Museum offers a diverse range of opportunities to volunteer and recognises the contribution that our volunteers make to our work as an integral part of the Museum. Our volunteering programmes are designed to inspire and benefit those taking part as much as they support the Museum.

In this role you will be working as part of a team to manage the day to day operations of our Learning Volunteer Programme. This includes, developing themed programme content, coaching and mentoring to volunteers to deliver our public engagement work and delivering training and enrichment opportunities for volunteers.
