Job Description:
Transformed through a £23.75 million investment, the museum’s mission is to connect people with the British Army and its soldiers. Through five new galleries the public will be able to explore what it’s like to be a soldier, why we fought in conflicts – past and present; and explore British society’s sometimes conflicted relationship with the army. The Museum holds world-class collections relating to the British Army and is supported by a well-developed Collections facility at Stevenage.

Museum Registrar
£30,797pa (plus benefits)
(Permanent Appointment, based in Stevenage)

We are seeking to appoint a Museum Registrar who will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the Museum's collections registry to SPECTRUM standards including loans, acquisitions and disposals.
Required Skills:
The successful candidate will have experience of the implementation of sector recognised best practice standards, and of using Collections Management Systems. Proven experience of managing loans in and out programmes in accredited museums or galleries, and managing the disposal and acquisition of objects is essential.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing, coordinating and training staff, contractors and volunteers, and will have excellent networking and collaboration abilities.
