Job Description:
Digital Production Assistant (Internship)
£18,252 pro rata
Hampton Court Palace (with travel to other sites as required)

Historic Royal Palaces is the charity that looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, the Banqueting House – Whitehall, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle, Northern Ireland.

Each of the six Historic Royal Palaces in our care has a fascinating story to tell - and your role will be to help bring them to life digitally for our audiences.

As a Digital Production Assistant, you’ll work within the Learning & Engagement department and support the Multichannel Production Team in creating high quality digital learning content and experiences for a range of audience groups including children, families, teachers and adult learners.

From shaping great ideas for social media and setting-up photo and film and photo shoots to researching and writing content for our website and apps, there will be many opportunities to gain experience and understanding of this important area of HRP's work.

This is an entry level role. Ideally with a qualification or some relevant experience in digital media you will bring enthusiasm, creativity and innovative ideas to this high performing team.

To succeed in this role you will need experience of working with digital equipment and you will already have some knowledge of how to produce digital content e.g. websites, apps, film, audio and/or social media. You will have the ability to research a broad range of topics and present information in a clear and concise way. You will have excellent writing skills and can adapt your style and tone for different audiences, including young people and children. A good understanding and knowledge of social media channels and their audience profiles is also key.

If this sounds like the challenge you are looking for, then we’re looking forward to hearing from you. You will need to be a good team player, enthusiastic, flexible and exhibit an eagerness to learn. An interest in culture, heritage and history will also be important.
