Job Description:
Digital Producer
Hampton Court Palace
Fixed-term – Up to 12 months (Maternity cover)

Historic Royal Palaces is the charity that looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, the Banqueting House – Whitehall, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle in Northern Ireland.

Each of the six Historic Royal Palaces in our care has a fascinating story to tell - and your role will be to bring them to life digitally for our audiences.

As a Digital Producer, you’ll work within the Learning & Engagement department and support the Multichannel Production Team in creating high-quality digital content, products and experiences for a range of audience groups.

The work we do is varied and exciting. Typical projects may involve designing an immersive onsite digital experience for teenagers, planning and creating content for an online learning course (MOOC) for adult learners, producing online games for children and publishing classroom resources for teachers.

You will be responsible for delivering the projects within a defined time period, on budget and to the highest quality.

To succeed in this role, you will have creative flair and excellent digital project management and production skills. You will have the ability to evaluate briefs and translate objectives into clear, imaginative digital solutions which engage audiences on the most appropriate channels.
With strong editorial and writing skills you will be able to adapt your language style and tone for different audiences, including young people and children.

Experience of supplier and stakeholder management, user centred digital design and testing and the production of digital assets such as images, video, audio and text are also important to us.

This role is ideal for a creative, well organised, collaborative digital professional, who enjoys creating content that inspires deeper digital engagement.

If you are a team player and this sounds like the challenge you’re looking for then we’re keen to hear from you. An interest in history will also be an advantage.
