Collections Manager
Plymouth Museum
Fixed Term Contract (end of July 2018 - Maternity Cover)
37 hours per week
Grade I (£36,379 to £41,025) pro rata

Plymouth City Council’s arts & heritage service is at the heart of the multi-million pound Plymouth History Centre project – a major scheme in the heart of the city that will transform the existing museum and art gallery into a new museum and cultural centre for the 21st century. An exciting opportunity has now arisen for a talented, experienced and creative individual to be part of this project to lead the collection development plans for the new History Centre. You will also play a key role in the content development for the new galleries for the History Centre.
Required Skills:
You must be educated to degree level with at least five years’ experience working in a museum, arts, archive or similar institution. You must have demonstrable experience of managing staff, budgets, resources and projects as well as partnership working. Proven knowledge in an area relating to the collections is key to this role.
