Type:     Full-Time Position

Closing Date:     Monday, August 21st, 2017
Job Ref No:     IRC53888

Job Description:
Clandon Park Project Manager
£36,880 pa
Permanent f/t
Wisley

Summary
You’ll be working on the project to restore Clandon Park following the fire in 2015 – one of the most exciting and complex projects ever undertaken by the National Trust. You’ll join a highly motivated and professional National Trust project team who have already completed the salvage phase and launched a high profile international design competition to select an architect and core design team.

Whilst the construction works to the house form the major project cost, the conservation of the surviving collection is equally important and is a significant cost element in its own right. There are also key project objectives in the areas of volunteering and participation, visitor experience, interpretation, heritage skills development and education. The planned new exhibition and gallery spaces also bring an exciting dimension to the project.

What it's like to work here
Clandon Park, is a Grade 1 Palladian mansion in Surrey, former home of the politically ambitious Onslow family. Many significant items were saved on the night of the fire and many more were salvaged afterwards. Clandon Park will be rebuilt and an international architects’ competition to select a design team to work with us on this ambitious project is underway and will finish in the autumn.
