Job Description:
Retail Services is an ever changing and dynamic department. The House of Commons operates three shops in total, two of which are open to the public, and one of which is for Members and staff of the House. The role will be based strictly within the two visitor facing shops. Your role as a Retail Assistant will be to facilitate the front line retail team in the day to day commercial operations of the department by:

• providing oustanding customer service to all visitors to the HoP and Jubilee Shops in line with the customer service charter;
• displaying good product knowledge about the ranges on sale and applying tactful sales techniques;
• to undertake any reasonble tasks within remit as required by a member of the management team.
Required Skills:
The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:

• Sales experience in a retail environment, including actively increasing sales through selling skills, stock-taking, replenishing, counting with accuracy and working to targets.
• Proven record of delivering excellent customer service.
• Experience of working effectively and inclusively within a diverse team to achieve common goals, supporting others and sharing information
