Job Description:
The London Museum of Water & Steam, based at the historic Kew Bridge Waterworks site, tells the story of London’s water supply and the human ingenuity that helped make London the city it is today.

We are looking for an important new team member to develop and manage our marketing and sales activity and oversee volunteer visitor host and retail operations.

The Marketing and Sales Co-ordinator will lead on marketing activity to support revenue and audience development targets, identifying and maximising marketing channels and opportunities for audiences which include families, specialist visitors, venue hirers, schools and groups.

The Museum is also a unique venue for a range of events - from wedding receptions and parties to business meetings and children’s birthday parties - which generate an important element of our income. The Marketing and Sales Co-ordinator will be responsible for all aspects of venue hire, from developing packages which use our space creatively, through to lead generation and successful delivery.

The third aspect of the job is oversight of our front of house and retail operations, working with volunteers and partners to ensure the best possible visitor experience.

The job is perfect for a candidate with 3+ years’ relevant experience, looking to take their next step up and assume a greater level of autonomy and responsibility.
Required Skills:
The successful candidate will demonstrate proven marketing and sales skills, able to think creatively, plan and implement effectively, close business and get results. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Direct experience of working in a museum/heritage context is desirable.
