Project Director – Operational Management Consultancy (PD OMC 2018)

Reporting: Reports to the Operational Director

Duties / Responsibilities:

1.Managing, monitoring and direction of the project team to ensure that the team is performing the requested activities including financial resources development, artifacts management, the operational aspects of the use of ICT and other modern technologies, operational and maintenance aspects of the museum, and other operational issues.

2.The Overall Coordination of the project. Project Director will be responsible to ensure overall coordination with several players and stakeholders involved in the project to confirm smooth implementation.

3.Reviewing the reports prior to submission, including Review Report, Inception Report, Monthly Progress Reports and the Project Final Report.

4.Communicate with the Client’s representatives continuously regarding Project Progress and areas of concern.

5.Propose in-house Project Management procedure to comply with Contract requirements and Client’s procedures

6.Prepare special report to Client Management to investigate any problem related to the Scope of Services and recommend solutions to Client Management.

7.Identify priorities and tasks and develop the organization structure to assure execution of tasks, by providing clear direction on methods, time frame and schedule to achieve the stated goals.

8.Provide clear definition of roles and responsibilities of PM staff.

9.Attend Executive meetings and progress meetings.

10.Monitor performance to assure successful delivery of the Key Performance Indicators and client contractual requirements.

11.Advise the Client of any foreseen slippage of progress and propose corrective actions.]

12.Reviewing and advising on the Grand Egyptian Museum operation and management plan prepared by others (SAPROF Report).
Required Skills:
Qualifications & Skills

1.Related University Degree in Degree in Museology or Archaeology
2.Computer literacy
3.Fluently in the English language
4.Min. 20 years of experience with at least 8-10 years’ experience in musicological or archaeological projects.
5.Candidate shall demonstrate that he has occupied similar posts on at least one large museum
