Job Description:
As a Learning Producer you will be part of the Schools and Communities team developing and delivering high quality learning opportunities across all sites. Using your expertise in engaging children/young people in schools and/or the arts/heritage sector, you will work closely with other Learning Producers to devise, deliver and manage imaginative programmes, projects and activities.

These will be designed to be inclusive and to meet the needs and interests of learners on-site, off-site and online. In order to do this you will need to take an audience-focused approach to developing distinctive and high quality content that delights, surprises and engages participants.
Required Skills:
You will have proven experience in developing and delivering formal primary and/or secondary learning programmes in the cultural sector or in a school. You will also have experience of delivering informal learning programmes (ideally with young people and/or early years). You will have a strong understanding of learning theory and the National Curriculum and a passion for engaging a diversity of young people with history and the stories of the past. Ideally, you will have experience in delivering professional development programmes for teachers and working with a wide range of schools. You will have strong experience of building relationships with external partners including schools and other community organisations and you will be proactive in creating networks within a local community.

You will be an innovator who looks for ideas and inspiration beyond their area of expertise when developing ideas and ways of working. You will be highly organised with an ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex projects on time and on budget. You will be able to set objectives and evaluate against them, refining the programmes you work on. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and know how to build and foster relationships.

You’ll be IT literate and a competent user of Word, Excel and Outlook.
