Job Description:
Volunteer Project 89, Early Years Programme Volunteer

Purpose:
> To assist with the delivery of the National Army Museum’s new monthly session for under 5’s, Tiny Troopers.
> To offer volunteers a unique opportunity to play a key role in the Museum’s family learning offer, while gaining experience working with a national museum.

Responsible to: Family Producer

Times/Dates
Monday 20 January 2020 9.30am-1pm
Thursday 6 February 2020 9.30am-1pm
Monday 24 February 2020 9.30am-1pm
Thursday 12 March 2020 9.30am-1pm
Monday 23 March 2020 9.30am-1pm

Location: National Army Museum, Chelsea, London.

Tasks
> To assist with set-up and packing away of Tiny Troopers, the museum’s new under 5’s early years drop ins.
> To support a freelancer facilitator with the delivery of the session.
> To collect feedback from families that attend the session.

Skills
Would suit someone:
> who is friendly and approachable.
> with a good standard of spoken English.
> with good communication skills.
> who is willing to learn and be part of team.
> who has an understanding of good customer service.
> who has experience of working with children under 5.

Support and Training
> Full in-house training will be provided that is specific to the role.
> Expenses: reasonable out of pocket travel expenses to and from the Museum, and reimbursement for a sandwich lunch.
> Volunteers' Handbook and regular feedback meetings.
> Regular contact with designated supervisor.
