Job Description:
This fixed-term post will play a key role in assessing, preparing, conserving and arranging external conservation of our maritime collections, during a major museum refurbishment as part of our major £27.5 million project, Hull: Yorkshire’s Maritime City.

The post holder will train volunteers and staff in appropriate practices and will be focused on delivering the project’s milestones. They will also help to identify priority items for conservation and future display, and will design and undertake assessment of the collection with recommended strategies for long-term preservation.
Required Skills:
We are seeking a qualified conservator who is enthusiastic about volunteer and public engagement and has experience of working with museum or heritage collections. Accredited status would be an advantage.
