The National Army Museum’s mission is to tell the story of Our Army and the people who have served in it; to inspire, engage and educate, though our World Class Museum and Collections. Through our galleries and innovative exhibitions and public programme, the public can explore what it’s like to be a soldier, why we fought in conflicts – past and present, and discover the impact the Army has had on our society.
Curator (Equipment & Uniform) - £30,740pa (plus benefits)
(Full-Time, Fixed-Term Appointment, Stevenage based)
We’re recruiting for a new member of our Curatorial team to work with our unrivalled collections of uniform and equipment at our collections centre in Stevenage. You will help us develop and understand our collections including acquisitions, cataloguing, collections review and disposal work.
The successful post-holder will help us transform access, as we publish our collections more widely, helping us to deliver against our Documentation Plan and Research Strategy. Your work will also provide support to our exhibitions programme, digital activity and other public facing work.
Experience of projects involving a wide range of military material culture is essential, as is a good working knowledge of the history of the Army and current developments in defence. |
