About Us
The Royal Air Force Museum is as a national museum, a Government non-departmental public body (NDPB) and a registered charity.

We have two public sites in the Midlands and London and a stored collection at Stafford. Our purpose is to share the RAF story - past, present and future - using the stories of its people and our collections to engage, inform and inspire.

Our vision is to inspire everyone with the RAF story - the people who shape it and its place in our lives.

Our museum commitments are the golden thread that run through everything that we do. These are:

• Health and Wellbeing
• Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
• Sustainability

What We Are Looking For
The Museum is looking for 3 Events Assistants to support its events programme.

An exciting opportunity to join the Royal Air Force Museum’s Events Team, working predominantly with the Public Events Team.

The postholder will contribute towards the set-up, operations and pack down of public events as the museum looks to offer new and exciting events for our visitors. This could see them support children as they build Airfix models, contribute towards the museum’s flagship event (The Barnet Food Festival) or taking the lead on the operations of the annual paper aeroplane contest. An extremely varied role, Events Assistants may be asked to support commercial events as well.

This is an on-site role based at our London site.
  Required Skills / Qualifications
• Demonstrable experience in a public facing environment including customer service.
• Demonstrable experience of working in a team, including knowledge and information sharing.
• Ability to work with energy and pace to get tasks done.
