East Riding Museums seeks an individual to join a friendly and dedicated team at Beverley’s cultural hub, Champney Treasure House and across a wider museums service including Skidby Windmill, Hessle Mill, Sewerby Hall, Goole Museum and Art Gallery and Beverley Guildhall.
This is a varied and practical role and you will support the planning, installation and de-installation of exhibitions at Beverley Art Gallery and Champney Treasure House Museum, as well as working at other East Riding Museum sites. Alongside this, you will help to ensure that venues are safe, welcoming and well maintained including cross-site health and safety checks.

You will also prepare rotas and support the consistent delivery of excellent customer service including engaging directly with visitors, responding to enquiries, supporting events and room hire and helping to maintain a positive and inclusive visitor experience.
The role involves hands-on technical work, including basic carpentry, use of hand and power tools, framing and de-framing of artworks, preparing galleries for exhibitions, together with the safe handling and transportation of museum objects, including driving hired vans between museum sites and to external venues. You will also carry out routine maintenance tasks, health and safety checks and support venue security, including opening and closing buildings and undertaking building checks where necessary.
