Head of Experience and Engagement – AD2147NB
Salary: £41,526 - £51,034 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Museums team at the University of St Andrews, and lead across a portfolio including visitor experience, evaluation and audience advocacy, online and digital engagement, retail and income generation, events and programming, learning and access, interpretation and exhibitions, and marketing and communications.

The Museums of the University of St Andrews embraces the spirit of enquiry that is at the heart of the University and its research and teaching. In 2021 we will open the new Wardlaw Museum after a major capital project to extend and completely redisplay it, including creating a new temporary exhibitions space. The Museums team have also set out a new strategic plan for 2020-25, which sets ambitious goals for a blended and joined-up approach to online and onsite engagement, and to collaborative and cultural projects working with partners across the University and beyond.

Required Skills:
The ideal candidate will have leadership ability, be a skilled manager, take an creative and entrepreneurial approach, and have experience in more than one of the areas covered by the Experience and Engagement team. They will lead a dynamic and motivated team, and join an active and ambitious Libraries and Museums unit.
