Job Description:
We want to make Chelsea Physic Garden, a garden for all and our visitor services team are essential to delivering this successfully. The Assistant Visitor Experience Manager is a key customer facing role that oversees the daily running of the Visitor Welcome Area and Garden Shop and supports the Visitor Experience team.

The role provides an exceptional welcome and level of customer service to all of our visitors. The post supports the Visitor Experience Manager to achieve annual targets for visitor admissions, membership conversion targets and gift aid donations. The Assistant Visitor Experience Manager is responsible for our Group Bookings programme.
Required Skills:
Essential (E) Desirable (D)

Experience of supporting the operational management of a visitor attraction (E)
Ability to motivate and inspire peers and volunteers (D)
Knowledge of current trends, resources and information relating to visitor experience (D)
Ability to work as part of a small team (D)
Excellent communications skills (written and verbal) (E)
Knowledge of MS Office programmes and ability to learn to work with different systems such as Shopify (our current till system) (E)
First Aid Qualification (D)
Knowledge of working in value-led organisations such as charities, or the cultural sector (E)
Knowledge of H&S, Safeguarding and Cash Handling procedures (D)
Knowledge of Safeguarding (D)
Knowledge of GDPR (D)
An interest in Gardens (D)
Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously (E)
Self motivated and able to act on initiative (E)
An interest in working sustainably in a time of climate emergency (E)
