  Job Description
Wellcome is a politically and financially independent global charitable foundation, funded by a 29.1 billion investment portfolio. We support discovery research into life, health and wellbeing, and we’re taking on three worldwide health challenges: Mental Health, Climate & Health and Infectious Diseases.

These challenges need the bold science we support, but they won’t be solved by science alone and because it will take more than science alone to solve these health challenges, we need people who can work with policy, culture, governments and the research community.

Where in Wellcome will I be working?
The Wellcome Collection Marketing Team promotes Wellcome Collection’s vision and mission via audience-first marketing campaigns, building Wellcome Collection and Wellcome’s brand, influence and reputation.

The successful Marketing Manager candidates will report to the Wellcome Collection Marketing Lead as part of a team of four, within a wider Wellcome Collection Communications team in Corporate Affairs.

We are looking for two Marketing Managers – one permanent and one fixed-term (maternity cover).

What will I be doing?

In these roles you will:

• Create and execute marketing campaigns for Wellcome Collection that broaden and diversify Wellcome Collection’s audiences.
• Work on campaigns across the range of Wellcome Collection’s activity, including but not limited to the exhibitions programme, live events, library, youth programme, publishing, collections, digital engagement.
• Use a wide range of creative tactics to achieve clear outcomes; ensuring multiple channels, tactics and partnerships are considered.
• Work within defined budgets and in line with the goals and targets of each marketing campaign, making sure activity is delivered on time and on budget.
• Build in ability to develop and flex campaigns that are ‘in flight’, reacting to audience feedback and insights.
• Embed our anti-racist and anti-ableist principles and involve minoritised communities in the campaign development process.
• Brief internal designers and external agencies on creative for campaigns.
• Identify key influencers/partners that help to amplify the reach and impact of campaigns and consider legacy and longevity of relationships during the planning process.
• Build relationships across Wellcome Collection, engaging with colleagues about how brand and marketing can help deliver the organisation’s goals.
• Undertake work in accordance with Wellcome policies and principles.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a demonstrable record of creating creative marketing activity based on sound audience insight.
• Have experience of managing multiple projects and budgets simultaneously.
• Have experience of commissioning and working with wide range of external suppliers and partners.
• Have experience of inclusive practice and increasing representation of diverse audiences.
• Be resourceful, flexible, responsive and resilient, and able to work well autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Have a passion for and understanding of the cultural sector.
