Project plan: Sewing project

Project lead: Jenni Fewery, Head of Collections Standards and Care with support from Collections Standards and Care team

Project outline:
Assisting the conservation team in the production of Tyvek covers, padded hangers and soft mounts for the ongoing care on the collection and preparation for the new galleries.

One placement available with the possibility of another placement after the 3 month review.

Aims:
Improve the care of the vehicle collection
Improve the care of the uniform collection
Mitigate the risk of dust and pollutants to the vehicle collection
Provide volunteers an understanding of the ways we care for collection

Timeframe:
1 day a week
Project to be reviewed after 3 months
