Would you like to use your passion for leadership and delivering exceptionally high quality visitor experiences to be at the heart of the next chapter in English Heritage's story? If so, then the Property Manager (with London cluster management) could be the role in which you can really make a difference.

The London sites you'll be leading are as diverse as their history, each with their own opportunities and complexities, making this role varied and engaging.

You will lead the teams across four sites in London to deliver an inspirational visitor experience that involves staff and volunteers and is financially sustainable through the achievement of agreed budgets. You will need to motivate your team to achieve targets, showcase exemplar site presentation and co-ordinate events throughout the year.

You'll also work in partnership with colleagues across different departments to deliver high standards of visitor experience, commercial activity, presentation and maintenance, ensuring that all activities are in line with the English Heritage brand.

We're looking for someone who is a proven leader, able to manage a large and diverse team and inspire them to achieve results, and who can embody the English Heritage behaviours of Collaboration, Innovation and Empowerment in everything they do. You'll also have exceptional stakeholder relationship skills, being able to co-ordinate differing ideas and priorities for the common good and creating a culture of mutual respect and understanding. You will have exemplary skills in written and verbal presentation and be prepared to represent both English Heritage on complex issues in a variety of circumstances including stakeholder and community engagement.

If you can bring those skills as well as proven experience in achieving income targets through a number of revenue streams whilst controlling costs to achieve a budgeted operating surplus, this could well be the role for you.

We would be delighted to hear from you, if you would like to talk to us about this role before you apply, please contact Abi Marsh, Head of Historic Properties London, on Abi.Marsh@English-Heritage.org.uk.

We strive to be an inclusive employer and are always looking for people who reflect the diversity of the country today, to help us make it more relevant to the diversity of the people, communities and places we serve. We continually look for new ways to promote the past in a way that is inclusive to all and that celebrates the cultural diversity of England's heritage.

From remote sites to inner city monuments, from regional teams to our Head Office, the diversity of our teams is critical to making sure our shared heritage is inclusive, exciting and accessible.

You'll find it's a workplace like no other - taking you behind the scenes of these extraordinary sites and supporting you to share your ideas, inspire others and make a difference.

By joining us, you'll enjoy the rewards of a great team environment in inspiring locations, helping to make our site a wonderful place to visit. You'll also be joining our charity, which through our 400+ historic monuments, buildings and sites, brings the story of England to life for over 10 million visitors each year. We offer a competitive benefits package including a generous pension, 25 days leave a year and free entry to all of our historic places for you, one other adult and up to six children (under the age of 18 and within the family group).

The CV should not exceed two sides of A4, please also complete the four online questions.
Interviews will take place at Eltham Palace on Friday 15th July.
