  Job Description
Woburn Abbey is the ancestral home of the Duke and Duchess of Bedford and is currently closed to the public to facilitate a major refurbishment and conservation programme. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Collection Steward to join the curatorial team at this historic time. 

Reporting to the House Manager, you will carry out collections moves and object installations including exhibition courier duties, undertake preventative conservation and documentation projects and lead on environmental monitoring. Excellent housekeeping standards will be maintained in the Abbey and collection stores as you will undertake daily routine cleaning and assist with the delivery of seasonal schedules including preparing for public opening and the winter deep clean.
  Required Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have proven experience of working in a historic house or museum environment, with a flexible approach and good understanding of preventative conservation, ensuring excellent standards of housekeeping and collections care.
