  Job Description
Are you an experienced project manager looking to take on an exciting new opportunity in the cultural sector? Can you manage multiple projects at once and do you have experience working with public funders and delivering complex capital projects on time and to budget?

Project Tullie is a major, once-in-a-generation, capital programme which will transform the museum and create a brand-new visitor experience for Tullie House. It will see the main building reordered, galleries refurbished, public facilities updated, and new property acquired. The work has started – come and join us and be part of one of the biggest museum projects in the north of England.

To support this work, we are looking for a Client Project Manager to join us for a fixed term opportunity, initially ending in March 2024 but with a strong likelihood of extension.

You will have a unique opportunity to plan, manage and deliver projects that will transform the museum as part of the 2019 masterplan. Managing projects in a live museum environment, you will work with the Programme Manager to lead the complete lifecycle from brief definition through construction to handover.

You will be responsible for managing to agreed time, cost and quality standards, ensuring projects are integrated with site operations. You will also be part of a dynamic project management team sharing knowledge and expertise, establishing common practices and structures, and working collaboratively across the whole programme of masterplan projects.
  Required Skills / Qualifications
We are looking for someone with solid experience in a project management role and who is comfortable dealing with external clients on a daily basis. The role requires the ability to handle a number of different complex projects at one time, liaising between relevant parties to ensure projects are delivered effectively. The role holder needs to be able to work without close supervision, organise their own time, work to tight deadlines across multiple project requirements and use their initiative, demonstrating proactivity to deal with a range of tasks and challenges, even in ambiguous situations. Experience of working within a cultural organisation would be desirable but is not essential.
  Application Instructions
Please see our website for full details.

If you are inspired by the role and would like to apply, please send your CV and a covering statement (of no more than 1000 words), detailing your relevant experience and knowledge, and what interests you about this role to by 9am on Wednesday 5th October 2022.

Interviews will take place online or in person on Tuesday 11th, Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th October 2022 (tbc).
