  Job Description
You will be responsible for the collections at, and relating to, two magnificent London houses.
Working under the direction of the Senior Curator, you will manage and develop the collections at these properties along with the historic interiors and will provide professional curatorial input into all proposed re-developments and events at these sites.
We are looking for an experienced professional curator with a background in historic properties and fine art, who can bring creative thinking to the presentation of complex collections and interiors.
  Required Skills / Qualifications
• First degree in a relevant subject such as History of Art.
• A postgraduate qualification such as a Masters in Museum Studies or a PhD in a relevant subject
• Comprehensive knowledge of collections management methodologies
• A good knowledge of British history, art history and interiors, in particular the long 18th century
• In-depth knowledge of a specific artist or period
• An appropriate publication record in a relevant field
• Understanding of the issues relating to the care and presentation of collections in historic properties
• Experience of working with collections management databases eg MultiMimsyXG
