  Job Description
Estates Technician
Permanent
Full-time
London
£33,201 per annum

The Royal Air Force Museum is a national museum, a Government non-departmental public body (NDPB) and a registered charity, with two sister sites at London and Midlands. Our purpose is to share the RAF story, past, present and future - using the stories of its people and our collections in order to engage, inform and inspire. Our overall vision is to inspire everyone with the RAF story – the people who shape it and its place in our lives.

The Estates Technician will be central to the London Estates Team managing the day to day operations of planned and reactive maintenance contractors, covering all estates services and providing a first line reactive maintenance service supported by the Estates Maintenance Assistant. The Estates Technician will facilitate technical support to projects and events all within a safe and managed environment. The Estates Technician will hold a recognised electrical qualification enabling them to act as the site Responsible Person for all electrical installation and maintenance.

You will be joining the Museum team at an exciting time as we progress our Strategy to 2030 and support the delivery of major projects for the site. This role will help deliver the significant change to building services and fabric needed to both maintain and enhance the estate as well as meeting our sustainability ambitions.

The post will be based at our London site.
