  Job Description
The Walker is one of three galleries in the NML group. Reporting to the Executive Director of Art Galleries, you will lead on delivering the vision and ongoing development of this outstanding gallery. You will have a focus on building an inclusive visitor offer for a diverse audience, bringing a creative and collaborative approach to working with colleagues and communities while maintaining oversight of the Gallery’s day-to-day management. You will be the client for new developments ensuring the ambitions and needs of the gallery are met.

Responsible for one of the most significant western, fine art collections in the UK, you will support our highly innovative fine art team in their work to display, develop, care for and make accessible these outstanding objects. Partnerships are central to this and you’ll play an important role in maintaining and developing these relationships. Aware of current best practice in the sector and the issues museums and galleries are working with today, you will involve colleagues and stakeholders in developing our aspiration and goals for the Walker.

If you are passionate about working with collections, teams and audiences and believe passionately in making art accessible to all, then we would like to hear from you.”
