  Job Description
The National Army Museum’s mission is to tell the story of Our Army and the people who have served in it; to inspire, engage and educate, via our World Class Museum and Collections.

Through our five thematic galleries and our innovative exhibition and events programme, the public can explore what it’s like to be a soldier, why we fought in conflicts – past and present, and discover the impact the Army has had on our society.

Summer Placement: Visitor Experience Assistants

This is a unique opportunity to join a passionate and committed team to develop and deliver the Museum’s visitor experience operations.

To work as part of the Visitor Experience and Operations Team to deliver a welcoming, engaging and memorable visit to all of our visitors. Your role will be integral to telling the story of Our Army through our collections within the galleries, the delivery and continued development of our world-class visitor experience and key in ensuring our Museum is safe and secure for our visitors.

We are looking for people who are customer-focused, pro-active in engaging with our visitors, confident talking passionately about our collection. These roles would suit those with experience of, or an interest in customer service/visitor experience as well as a knowledge and passion for military history.

The timings and duration of all placements can be flexible to suit applicants study/term times and are paid at the National Minimum Wage. Full induction and training will be provided.
