  Job Description
We are looking for a Facilities Manager who will ensure that the Horniman estate is maintained to an exceptionally high standard for both visitors and workforce. You will set up and manage effective systems to achieve maintenance objectives, investigating issues and using your significant building and plant experience to scope and instruct remedial works. You will maintain excellent relations with internal and external stakeholders and play a key role in the provision of an excellent visitor experience across our estate (two sites), providing Estates support for public programmes and income generation 7 days a week.
  Required Skills / Qualifications
You will have significant professional and practical experience in the field of buildings, and infrastructure management for a heritage / visitor attraction or other public building, ideally with a relevant professional qualification in estates management, construction, surveying or health and safety. You will have successfully managed contractors and service contracts, ensuring quality of outcome and value for money, in addition to managing and delivering successful building and infrastructure repair and refurbishment projects.
With excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective professional relationships, you must be a strong team player with the enthusiasm and energy to work proactively and collaboratively with a diverse range of staff, consultants and contractors to deliver Horniman objectives.
