  Job Description
- To strategically lead and oversee the operational management of Warrington Museum and Art Gallery by providing direct line management for the team who will lead on delivery of these functional specialisms.

- Work closely with the Management Team and Cultural Team, to develop and implement a Forward Plan for Warrington Museum and Art Gallery, including an audience development plan.

- Work closely with Trustees and key stakeholders to identify fundraising and development opportunities and subsequently complete funding applications.

In addition, three key strategic priorities, and their associated tasks will require particular planning & action:

1. Creating a high-performance culture: Good Governance & Effective Employees.
2. Understanding your Collection: Discovering the Voice of the Collection
3. Understanding & Engaging your Audience: Profile Raising & Targeting Audiences

The job holder will then ensure the resulting actions deliver outcomes that meet Culture Warrington’s strategic and operational objectives and aspirations.
  Required Skills / Qualifications
• A passion for heritage and museums.
• A minimum of 3-4 years relevant experience working in heritage management and development and experience of budget management.
• Strong leadership skills and experience of leading an experienced and knowledgeable team.
• Experience of meeting deadlines, prioritisation and setting targets
• Experience of developing strategies and funding applications
• Experience of working effectively in a team and with internal and external partners to influence decisions
