JOB TITLE: Events Officer
£26,250 per annum
The Royal Armouries is the United Kingdom’s national museum of arms and armour and one of the most important collections of its type in the world, housed at its headquarters and flagship museum in Leeds, its historic home at the Tower of London, and the Victorian Fort Nelson in Hampshire.
Based at the Royal Armouries in Leeds you will play a central role in the development, administration, production and delivery of an exciting, fast-paced, audience-focussed public events programme. You will be instrumental to a programme that grows visitor numbers, deepens visitor engagement with our collection and its stories, and attracts new and hard-to-reach audiences.
The successful candidate must be able to work flexibly, be highly organised and self-motivated with a proven ability to work to tight deadlines. They must be an effective and professional communicator, able to engage with stakeholders and build relationships at all levels across the organisation.
This is a permanent full-time position, working 36 hours per week, 5 days out of 7. The role is mainly site based, regular weekend, Bank Holiday and evening working will be required, as will some travel. |
