  Job Description
Seasonal Abbey Marshal – Join Our Team at Westminster Abbey!

Westminster Abbey is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Seasonal Abbey Marshals. This is a unique opportunity to be part of one of London’s most iconic landmarks and provide visitors with a memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Seasonal Abbey Marshal, you will play an essential role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all visitors. You will greet visitors warmly, address any queries, and manage the flow of guests throughout the Abbey and its surrounding areas. You will also be responsible for enforcing Abbey policies, particularly those related to access, photography, and guiding, and ensuring safe and orderly access to various areas of the Abbey. Additionally, you’ll assist with emergency procedures, work closely with emergency services during special events, and follow health and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all.

What We’re Looking For:
We are looking for individuals with excellent verbal communication skills who can deliver outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate will be proactive and confident in managing busy situations, keeping visitors safe, and ensuring smooth operations. You should be comfortable working independently and responding to any needs or concerns that may arise. Flexibility is key, as the role requires working weekends, evenings, and potentially in varying weather conditions. Previous experience in a visitor attraction or similar environment is an advantage, but a passion for delivering an exceptional experience is essential.
