  Job Description
This is an income generating role that is central to the Development department’s annual target. With the reopening of the Sainsbury Wing in 2025 and annual visitor numbers expected to exceed 4.5 million in the coming years, there is now a unique opportunity to creatively rethink how visitors are asked to support the gallery both online and on site through refreshed donation boxes, in our shops and cafes and a more strategic visitor journey.

The role will also be responsible for growing other low level giving, including the planning and delivery of an annual appeal.

Importantly, this post will play an active role in our Legacy fundraising, growing the Gallery’s commemorative (in memory) giving programme and other areas of Legacy fundraising where appropriate.
  Required Skills / Qualifications
• Experience of managing income and expenditure budgets
• Demonstrable relevant experience working within a fundraising or similar environment.
• Demonstrable ability to write compelling fundraising copy and manage large mailings
• Proven project management skills – the ability to meet deadlines, to plan and prioritise workload and short- and long-term objectives
• Effective presentation skills and the confidence to communicate directly with donors and senior staff
• Proven ability to analyse large bodies of data
• Previous experience using a fundraising or CRM database
• Experience of developing strong relationships both internally and externally
