  Job Description
The National Army Museum’s mission is to tell the story of Our Army and the people who have served in it; to inspire, engage and educate, though our World Class Museum and Collections. Through our galleries and innovative exhibitions and public programme, the public can explore what it’s like to be a soldier, why we fought in conflicts – past and present, and discover the impact the Army has had on our society.

This year the Museum is hosting Summer Placements, and we welcome and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.

Summer Placements
National Living/Minimum Wage*
(Temporary placements, based at Chelsea)


This is an opportunity to join our Front of House Teams, working across both the Visitor Experience and Retail & Admissions teams to support the Museum and ensure all visitors receive a warm, engaging, and professional welcome.

The ideal candidates will be great team players with excellent customer service skills, and experience of or interest in working in a retail setting.

The roles are working 4 days a week with some weekend working, and running until the end of October 2026. Timings and duration of all placements, however, can be flexible, and will be paid at either National Minimum/Living Wage (*age dependant). Full induction and training will be provided.

Closing date for completed application forms is midday on Wednesday 17 June 2026.

Interviews will be held w/c 22 and 29 June 2026 at the Museum in Chelsea.
