Above all, the postholder should be enthusiastic, have a proactive problem solving approach and excellent communication skills:
Essential
• Experience working with learning audiences, schools or community groups
• A commitment to the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion
• Previous experience in a similar role in the charity, cultural or education sector
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively and warmly at different levels—from teachers and communities through to senior leadership and board members
• Ability to manage a range of tasks simultaneously and prioritise work effectively
• A team player who is flexible, adaptable and solution driven
• Demonstrable knowledge of and/or interest in learning and community engagement
• Excellent IT skills and digital literacy—comfortable updating websites, familiar with social media platforms and booking systems
• Excellent organisational skills, including ability to work to tight deadlines, accurately interpret what is of most importance to the smooth running of the learning team and prioritise accordingly to efficiently complete tasks
• Strong administrative skills and attention to detail with the ability to record and track statistics, data and budget
• Demonstrable interpersonal skills with people at all levels with the ability to work collaboratively and as a team player
• Able to work calmly and methodically under pressure and prioritise tasks
Desirable
• Experience in using Artifax, Raiser Edge and booking systems and databases
• Experience of booking travel, accommodation and/or other logistics
• An interest or understanding of digital engagement and communications
