About Us
The Royal Air Force Museum is as a national museum, a Government non-departmental public body (NDPB) and a registered charity.

We have two public sites in the Midlands and London and a stored collection at Stafford. Our purpose is to share the RAF story - past, present and future - using the stories of its people and our collections to engage, inform and inspire.

Our vision is to inspire everyone with the RAF story - the people who shape it and its place in our lives.

Our museum commitments are the golden thread that run through everything that we do. These are:

• Health and Wellbeing
• Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
• Sustainability

What We Are Looking For
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Museum’s Development team as we deliver the Museum’s Strategy 2030 and a £30m capital appeal. The ideal candidate will have experience building and managing high-value relationships with senior stakeholders, either in fundraising, business development or within the Royal Air Force or wider defence sector. They will be confident working in a target-driven environment, with a strong track record of delivering income or other measurable outcomes.

The postholder will manage a pipeline of opportunities from identification through to conversion, developing and delivering compelling proposals and presentations. Strong communication skills and the ability to interpret complex information and translate it into persuasive, tailored approaches are essential.

The post will ideally be based at our London site but Midlands would be considered. The role will require travel between the museums sites and wider travel including overseas.
  Required Skills / Qualifications
• Proven ability to build and manage strong relationships with senior stakeholders, or partners, delivering a high-quality and tailored engagement experience.
• Experience working in a target or performance focused environment with accountability for delivering income or other measurable outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop compelling proposals and/or reports.
• The ability to analyse and interpret complex information, develop and manage a pipeline of opportunities through to successful outcomes.
